Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do I receive a warranty in Australia when purchasing from overseas, eBay or Amazon?

No. Only Baby Jogger original products purchased from authorised resellers receive a warranty in Australia. Click here to locate your nearest Baby Jogger stockist.

  • Is my car seat compatible with your car seat adaptors?

Baby Jogger’s standard car seat adaptor is compatible with the following car seats:

    • Baby Jogger City GO
    • Nuna Pipa
    • Maxi Cosi Mico or Titan
    • InfaSecure Arlo

The following will NOT work with Baby Jogger's standard car seat adaptor:

    • Steelcraft infant capsule
    • Britax (Safe n Sound) capsule
    • Enspira Car Seats
    • Evenflo Lakewood
    • Safety 1st OnBoard 35 Air-SE
    • Evenflo St. Ives
    • Intera Convertible
    • Vantage Point Booster Seat
    • Combi
    • Booster Seats
    • Toddler Car Seats
  • What are the differences between an EVA, Forever-Air and Pneumatic tire?

An EVA wheel is a lightweight molded plastic wheel that is ideal for pavement or smooth urban terrain. This wheel is available on our City Micro and City Mini strollers, which helps to make them some of the most lightweight, compact strollers on the market.

A Forever-Air tire is a rubber tire inflated with a lightweight foam instead of air. This ensures the tire will not go flat with frequent use or rough terrain. The City Elite, City Select and City Mini GT both feature Forever-Air tires.

A pneumatic tire is an inflatable rubber tire that provides a comfortable, smooth ride on many different terrains. The Summit, F.I.T. and Performance joggers have pneumatic tires, which add to their all-terrain capabilities.

  • Can I use a buggy board with your strollers?

The Baby Jogger Glider Board will attach to the rear axle of any single or double stroller and provides an area for an older child to ride along. It is not compatible with the F.I.T., Performance or Switchback models and should not be used with the Summit while jogging. Buggy Boards made by other manufacturers are not recommended for use with Baby Jogger strollers.

  • Are your strollers covered by a warranty?

Yes! Our frames are backed by a lifetime warranty against manufacturer defects. The fabrics, wheels, tires and other components carry a one-year warranty. When calling in a warranty claim, please have your item number, serial number, manufacturer date stamp and proof of purchase on hand to expedite the process.

Please note that Baby Jogger warranty only covers ex-demo and floor stock (from authorised Australian sellers) for up to 6 months from date of purchase, as long as the manufacture date is within 3 years. As with our standard warranty, it only covers manufacture defects and does not cover cosmetic damage or missing parts.

  • Can I use the City Series line to run with?

The City Series line of strollers is not intended for jogging purposes. The City Series is a line of urban and all-terrain strollers that give you optimum versatility for everyday use.

  • Is the fabric washable?

Yes, the seat and canopies of our strollers and joggers are made from strong, lightweight, washable fabrics which easily detach from the frame. We recommend to hand wash your fabrics using cold water and a mild detergent. Place fabrics back on the frame and leave outside to air dry. A hot/sunny day is the perfect time to clean your stroller as fabrics will dry quicker.

  • Do your strollers fold?

The City Series strollers, Summit, F.I.T and the Switchback Hybrid Trailer/Jogger feature our patented Quick-Fold technology. Just pull the clearly marked "FOLD" handle and the stroller or jogger collapses into an easily loadable and storable unit. This is quite possibly the easiest fold on the market today. All Quick-Fold strollers are equipped with a storage latch or strap to prevent the stroller from popping open during transport or storage.

Please use the following instructions to determine how your fold latch works:

    • Single Stroller Latch
    • Double Stroller Strap
    • Triple Stroller Strap

Our Performance Series joggers have a quick-release locking mechanism that makes folding them a breeze. Remove the quick-release wheels and the jogger folds flat to fit into your closet or car trunk.

  • Is your stroller safe?

Yes! Safety comes first at The Baby Jogger Company. We test and retest our products to ensure that all our current strollers either meet or exceed ASTM and/or EN 1888 and mandatory Australian testing standards for strollers and carriages. Remember, we are the original Baby Jogger Company and that means we have over 25 years of experience caring for your precious cargo.

  • How can I use your Baby Jogger strollers with an infant?

All single strollers have a car seat adaptor or bassinet/pram available to accommodate a newborn. The Mini double and Mini Double GT can take one or two Compact Bassinets (no car seat adaptors) It is important to remember though, that newborns are more vulnerable to outside conditions and should be appropriately protected from the heat, cold and wind. (Please note our Car Seat Adaptors have a maximum weight capacity of 45 lbs - that's the combined weight of the car seat and the newborn.)

The City Mini, City Mini GT and City Elite strollers have an increased recline angle to a near flat position to accommodate newborns. The Summit also has this feature, however, it is for cruising purposes only. Never run or jog with your seat fully reclined. Also, please keep in mind that babies should have ample neck support when placed in the seat of a stroller - you can use a rolled up cloth diaper or any number of neck supports sold at baby stores.

  • What is the warranty if I purchase a stroller outside of Australia?

The warranty of your stroller or jogger is covered by the country in which you purchased it. If you purchased your Baby Jogger from a US retailer while living in Australia, you are responsible for any shipping charges that may incur to fulfill a warranty claim and in some cases be without your stroller for several weeks.

  • How old should my baby be before they are able to sit in the upright seat of a Baby Jogger?

Our strollers and joggers can be used for children from approximately six months to five-years-old. We do not recommend placing your baby in the seat of the jogger until they are able to sit and hold their head up without assistance.

  • Which wheel size is right for me?

We've devised the following guidelines so you can choose the right wheel size for your needs:

    • 6" & 8" Wheel - Ideal for indoor strolls, walking on pavement or smooth urban terrain. These smaller lightweight wheels are perfect for city dwellers who need a compact stroller for everyday use. Please view our City Micro or City Mini stroller for this wheel size.
    • 12" Wheel - Perfect for walking on grass, trails, sidewalks or in stores. Wonderful for city life where smaller wheels offer a more compact, maneuverable stroller. You will fall in love with the 12" stroller wheels if you have previously owned a conventional stroller. Please view our City Elite, City Select or Summit models for this wheel size.
    • 16" Wheel - Our most popular wheel size due to its versatility. Great for walking or jogging and is still very easy to store and transport. It's large enough to handle snow and sand yet still small enough to fit into tight spaces. Please view our Summit model for this wheel size.
    • 20" Wheel - Serious runners adore this model! It's easy to maneuver and provides a very smooth ride for the child. This large wheel easily handles rough terrain. Please view our Performance Series and Switchback Hybrid trailer/jogger for this wheel size.
  • Do all of your strollers have a seat which fully reclines?

The City Mini, City Elite, City Select and the Summit models have a seat that reclines to a near flat position. Please note that the Summit's recline is for cruising purposes only. Please do not run or jog with the seat fully reclined.

  • How much air should I put in my tires?

Baby Jogger recommends inflating your tires to 20 PSI. Your tire rim may say a maximum of 40 PSI, but please only inflate to 20 PSI. You can use a standard bicycle pump to inflate your tires.

  • What does the weight capacity of your stroller mean?

The weight capacity of Baby Jogger strollers includes the weight of the child or children, any items you are placing in the storage compartments and any accessories you are attaching. For example, if you are placing two 22.5Kg children in a double stroller with a weight capacity of 45Kg, you will exceed the weight capacity of the stroller by placing any items in the storage compartments or adding accessories. When using a double stroller, we recommend an even weight distribution on both sides of the stroller.

  • Can I use my stroller on the escalator, travelator or stairs?

No. We recommend you using the lift or ramp. Any damage caused by taking the strollers on escalator, travelator or stairs will be deemed misuse and not be covered under warranty.

Beware of eBay, Amazon and international website sales

Please note that we do not support sales of Baby Jogger on eBay, Amazon or international websites in Australia. Most of the items on eBay, Amazon and international websites do not meet Australian standards and we cannot guarantee the integrity of what is sold online.

Some sellers say they meet the standards (and they don't) and that you receive a warranty (and you won't). We will not cover any stroller for warranty that was purchased from eBay. We are able to cross reference serial numbers to make sure they were sold in Australia through approved retailers. Although it may seem you save money, in the long run it can potentially cost you much more.

Different countries have different safety standards and sometimes different specifications of strollers and accessories. Not all international accessories are compatible with Australian strollers. Our company is not liable for any product purchased from unauthorised Australian resellers.

Please support your local Australian retailer by buying through an approved reseller. You can find the list of Australian Approved retailers on the where to buy section of our website.
